About Us
Huffing For Stuffing is back for our 18th year!
Huffing For Stuffing combines community spirit with a lively race atmosphere to improve the lives of many of our community members. Since our inception in 2007, Huffing For Stuffing has provided over half a million dollars in funding to our local food bank! The race is held each Thanksgiving morning at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Montana. All abilities are welcome. We want you to be a part of Gallatin Valley’s favorite Thanksgiving holiday tradition! Huffing For Stuffing is presented by HRDC's Gallatin Valley Food Bank in partnership with Big Sky Wind Drinkers.
HRDC’s Gallatin Valley Food Bank knows nutrition is vital for everyone in our community and we work hard to act as the crucial link between food and the people who need it. Gallatin Valley Food Bank serves anyone who needs help stretching their food budget. High housing costs and underemployment continue to push people in the Gallatin Valley and in Southwest Montana towards food insecurity.

Huffing For Stuffing is organized by a dedicated committee of community volunteers and HRDC staff. Some of our committee members in action:
The needs of our community have outgrown our current facilities. HRDC’s Community Commons was conceived in direct response to the growing needs of people living and working in Southwest Montana. A community of our size deserves better solutions than what is currently available, and Community Commons will significantly improve HRDC’s ability to combat hunger and homelessness within an integrated service environment. Our broader mission to help move individuals and families to financial stability, while also enhancing their quality of life, will no longer be impeded by our current operational challenges related to our geographic separation of services and staff, as well as by our out-of-date and under-sized facilities. If you are interested in learning more or would like to schedule a tour of our current facilities please contact Emma: ehamburg@thehrdc.org.
